Ocean Generation, (formally Plastic Oceans UK), has been raising awareness about the devasting impact of plastic pollution on our oceans since 2009. Their documentary, ‘A Plastic Ocean,’ was praised by Sir David Attenborough as “one of the most important films of our time.”
Their goal now is to see the ocean freed from human threats within a generation, with young people being the catalyst for change. They are focusing on ocean action, growing an inclusive global movement to tackle a wide range of ocean threats and influence policy change.
The charity turns ocean science into understandable and practical tools that people everywhere can use in their daily lives. Using film and popular culture, they aim to engage people positively in the vital role the ocean plays in supporting our world.
