Sea Change Sauvignon Blanc 2023
Pays D’Oc IGP, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
‘C’est le Pays du Vent’ the locals will tell you…. The land of the wind! Bordered by the Pyrenees mountains to the south (which channel cooling breezes from the Atlantic) and the Mediterranean to the east (with its warm summer temperatures) the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France is wonderfully located to produce world class wines. The environmental attributes are important, as the colder Atlantic influence is vital if you want crisp Sauvignon Blanc and they compliment the fabulous wine making team at Château Canet helping to craft their magic! Our Sea Change Sauvignon Blanc is refreshing, vibrant and will definitely deliver for all those Sauvignon lovers. It’s not overdone but refined - you’ll get the best of everything. A classic Sauvignon in an easy drinking style that will allow you to selflessly pour another glass.
Tasting Notes
The first things we notice when we enjoy a glass of Sea Change Sauvignon Blanc are aromas of aromatic green citrus and grapefruit, set alongside beautiful balance and structure. A dry white, it’s fresh and full of summer zest. The initial flavours of fruit and blossom are layered with a subtle crispness that offers a sophisticated Sauvignon experience.
Food Pairings
We love the wines from Château Canet and this elegant example is no different. It can be enjoyed on its own or with food and it pairs perfectly with any seafood, roasted vegetables, white meat or softer cheeses. As a favourite pick… we’d have to go with something like barbecued Sea Bass served with buttered greens. Beautiful.
When to drink
Best consumed when youthful and fresh and always lightly chilled.
Environmental Benefits
Mediterranean Fin Whales are believed to ingest in excess of 3,700 plastic particles every day (source: Plastic Oceans UK). By purchasing this Sauvignon Blanc you are directly helping to fund beach cleans in the UK organised by one of our charity partners, reducing the amount of plastic waste that ends up in our oceans. Thank you.
